Did you know that elephants can eat over 200 pounds of food per day? This is just one of the many interesting, fun facts of elephants.
Habitat
Elephants live in the different habitats of Africa and Asia. The lust live where there are many plants and vegetation, as they are herbivores.
Food and Water
As mentioned earlier, elephants eat over 200 pounds of food per day. They eat leaves, branches, roots, and bark. They use their tusks to rip apart the bark from the trees and use their trunks to grab leaves high off of trees.
Description
Elephants can weigh up to 1 ton. That's 2000 pound or about 6 cars. They have grey wrinkled skin and live to be about 70 years old.
Interesting Facts
The elephant is the largest land animal. The elephant's trunk has no bones but thousands of muscles.
