January Board Brief
January Board meetings are special because they are a time to recognize the great work of our Board of Trustees. The campuses recognized our invaluable School Board members with their creative artwork, letters, and banners for School Board Recognition Month. This was also a very important meeting as the incredible work of the Long Range Planning Committee was presented to the board as well as a new demographic report. The January Champions were highlighted, and the Education Foundation gave an update on the first cycle of Teacher Grants they awarded.

- Police Report
- COVID Update. The District has ??? active cases.
- Long Range Planning Presentation. A four-person committee presented the culmination of four months worth of work studying demographics, current facilities, and district facility needs. On behalf of the committee (comprised of parents, community members, business owners, and staff), they recommended an upcoming bond election for our district as we try to stay ahead of the fast growth we are experiencing in Liberty Hill.
- PASA Demographic Presentation. Demographers shared information about the expected growth in Liberty Hill and LHISD.
- Construction Updates
Consent Agenda
- Enrollment. The current enrollment is 5691.
- Financial Report. This report includes updates on tax collection, investments, expenditures, amendments, and bond status.
- Joint Election Agreement with the City of Liberty Hill for the May 1, 2021 Elections
- Order by the Board of Trustees of Liberty Hill ISD to call for an election on Saturday, May 1, 2021
Action Items:
- Asynchronous Learning Days Approved. The Board of Trustees approved the asynchronous day waiver submitted and approved by TEA. Two instructional days in our calendar (March 5th and April 30th) will be converted to district-wide asynchronous days for our students.
- Consideration and possible action of Building Commissioning Services for High School Addition.
- Consideration and possible action of Water Line Easement adjacent to CR 277.
- New Positions Approved. The Board of Trustees approved Josh Curtis as the new Principal at Santa Rita Middle School and one new 4th-grade teacher position at Rancho Sienna Elementary.
