Graduation- Class of 2023

GRADUATION TIME CHANGE

Dear 2023 Graduates and Parents:

We just received word from Arizona State University of a time change for our graduation ceremony on May 24, 2023 . The ceremony will now take place at 7:30pm, instead of the originally scheduled 6:00 pm. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding; unfortunately, the scheduling (and in this case, a time change) by the university is out of our control.

We wanted to let our students and families know as soon as possible so that you can make the necessary adjustments to your evening.

In the coming days, you will receive the 2023 Senior Graduation Information packet. It is important for both graduates and their families to be familiar with the information and the schedule of events leading up to the ceremony.

You can come to this Zoom call and find yourself in a state of RELIEF because you’re not alone. You can keep your camera off and not even say a word.

Many parents feel alone and isolated, scared to open up to their friends and family to share what is REALLY happening with their family.

This hour on Zoom provides a safe environment for you to listen and/or share what you’re working through inside your home.

We hope to see you there! You can share this email with anyone who you know is struggling too! All are welcome.

Important Information and Links

Perry's Campus is Closed

Perry High School is a CLOSED CAMPUS. Please remember to check your student in and out through the attendance office when arriving late or leaving early. Also, students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Thank you!

Driving Near Campus- Reminder

As school resumes for the year, be courteous of other drivers and our campus neighbors.

-It is against the law to drive through the Enclave/Senior Center parking lot as a shortcut to avoid traffic congestion.

-The Legends Ridge Community is private property; please do not park within without permission, and do not block their access gates.

-Driving along 156th street, there have been complaints about speeding vehicles. 156th street along the dirt portion is technically private property, so we do not want to lose access to this section of road and be forced to find an alternate route.

If you are caught, you may receive a ticket from the police, or if you are a student driver, may lose your parking spot on campus.

Please help us continue to be great neighbors!

Ride a Bus at Perry?

Remember when the bell rings at the end of the day to go straight to your bus. The busses need to leave Perry by 2:20 PM to arrive at their other schools on time.

We Are a One-to-One School!

The Pumas Have Chromebooks!

In 2022-2023, Chandler Unified School District is launching a 1:1 learning initiative. We are excited about the innovative personalized learning opportunities that we can offer to all students when we provide them with a reliable technology device.

To help parents and students learn more about this initiative, we have created our 1:1 Student Guide website, which you can find at https://1to1.gse.cusd80.com. There is a lot of information on this website, but we feel it is important to the success of this initiative to clearly communicate all of it to our parents and students. We encourage all of you to review this information with your child(ren) so you have a clear understanding of device expectations, maintenance, etc.

Devices were distributed at Perry High School on August 11th and 12th. Before students can get their device, their parent must sign a device agreement form. This form can be completed electronically by visiting the Infinite Campus parent portal, and directions on how to do this can be found at https://1to1.gse.cusd80.com/cusd-11-device-agreement. Additional information on device distribution will be sent out at a later date.

If your student did not receive a device but you believe they should have, please contact Mrs. De La Torre at delatorre.jennifer@cusd80.com.
