Math and Computer Science Field Day
Lake Superior State University
6th Annual Mathematics and Computer Science Field Day
We hope you'll join us for the 6th Annual Mathematics and Computer Science Field Day, on Monday, October 14. Students from around the Eastern U.P. and Northern Lower Peninsula will spend the morning and part of the afternoon on the Lake Superior State University campus, taking part in mathematics and computer science activities.
Past activities have included: using software to model Michigan's wolf population or to Fourier transform student voices; programming Arduino robots to perform a task; playing statistics games with M&Ms; and exploring origami and mathematics. New activities are announced every year in September.
Registration is free and includes lunch. Contact Dr. Robert Kipka (rkipka@lssu.edu) for details or registration.
