I Am Number Four
By Pittacus Lore
Reviewer: Seth Miller
This is the story that every human being on this planet should read. This book is action packed throughout and twists in the plot will keep you up all night reading, full of suspense. All in all, Pittacus has outdone himself with this novel.
The story begins in the jungles of Kenya where a boy with the ability to fly is caught and killed by a mysterious and malicious army of unknown origin. On the other side of the world, another young man acquires a scar the exact same moment. He and his guardian immediately go into hiding but the presence of a beautiful school reporter puts events into motion that will change everything that is known about earth. Hate, love, loss and redemption fuse together and separate explosively, breaking barriers and forming walls that are impassable. In the end, the finally will give you a hunger for more.
Pittacus Lore does an amazing job with his stories and I Am Number Four is no exception. I eagerly await all of his further novels.
“The best way to deal with fear is to confront it.”
“We don't have to be defined by the things we did or didn't do in our past. Some people allow themselves to be controlled by regret. Maybe it's a regret, maybe it's not. It's merely something that happened. Get over it.”
