Big picture

Dear Center Families,

We are looking forward to our annual Curriculum Night on Wednesday, September 21st. Please see the schedule below:

  • Grades 3-4; 5:00-6:15 p.m.-Principal Presentation and Classroom Presentations

  • All Grades; 6:15-7:00 p.m.—Specialist and Special Educator Time

  • Grades K-2; 7:00-8:15 p.m.-Principal Presentation and Classroom Presentations

  • This is an opportunity for caretakers to meet with Center staff. Please make child care accommodations for your children as this an adult only event.

  • Curriculum night is an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, see their class, and learn about the curriculum. We respectfully ask you to refrain from asking questions pertaining to your children, this will be reserved for conferences.

  • Please note that classrooms will be closed until the grade level classroom presentations. If you have children in both grade levels, feel free to attend only one of the parent meetings in the cafeteria, as it will be the same presentation twice.

It was wonderful to see so many parents at the PTO meeting this week. Be sure to read the PTO Pulse each Friday to learn about opportunities to get involved and the wonderful events planned.

School Council Member Needed:

Want to learn more about the workings of the school, provide input to our school improvement plan, and partner to create a shared vision for our school environment? Consider joining our school council. School council is a representative, school building-based committee composed of the principal, parents, teachers and a community member. We meet approximately once a month from 4-5PM. We are currently in need of one parent representative. Meetings will begin in October. Please email Dianna at if you are interested in joining. If we have more than one person interested we will hold an election. If you know of a community member who might be interested in joining, please have them email Dianna as well.

Permission to take pictures

A picture speaks a thousand words as they say, and we love to include these in our weekly updates and on the website through our Twitter feed. Please let email Ms. O’Hearn at if you do not want your child’s picture included in these forums.

Have a great week.

Warm Regards,

Dianna and Donna
