Staff Spotlight - Caitlin Adams

My name is Caitlin Adams. I am 24 years old. I am from a small south Georgia town that is known for its sweet onions. I love to cook, workout with friends, and love any hands on crafts like sewing and painting. I am an animal lover and have three dogs that are like my children. I recently got engaged to the love of my life and my best friend. I just graduated with my Masters of Arts in Teaching Kinesiology in December so I myself am new to the teaching field, but I come from a family of teachers. As an undergrad in college I was a Biology and Exercise Science major. I currently teach the personal health and fitness classes like Aerobic Dance, Weight Training, and Fitness Jogging at GCSU. I also am working on some grant research that deals with childhood obesity and the effects of 30 minutes of play a day for children in the Baldwin Co. Schools. I also have a personalization business in which I monogram items and make vinyl decals. I often feel like a whirl wind but I love to be busy. This is my first semester working with Mosaica and I hope for many more.

Thank you Caitlin for jumping in - we appreciate all that you do!

Mosaica Sunshine!

Mosaica Online Enrichment Days

Our next Enrichment Day is March 11th!

Club Corner

Book Club:

Our Middle School Book Clubbers are currently reading Inside Out by Terry Trueman. Much like Code Orange from Caroline B. Cooney, Inside Out is another psychological thriller that features a young teen, Zach, who gets caught in the middle of a coffee shop robbery and is taken hostage. Even though he has no weapons to defend himself and his fellow hostages, his mind becomes far more powerful than anyone would ever imagine. Inside Out shows teens just how powerful, and even dangerous, their minds can be and challenges them to use their minds for good.

TEACHER TIP OF THE WEEK!

1. Be sure to call any students with D's or F's or who are not participating in your classes. Be sure to document all communication in the seating chart.
2. New teachers for GP3: remember that Kate and Gabby will have a check-in meeting with you on Thursday, 2/20 at 7:30 PM EST via Jigsaw.
3. Enrichment Day is today! Remember that students should only be working in Science and Paragon classes. Please do NOT post that students won't have any work to complete except for science because this confuses the Paragon kids. Thank you!

Online Paragon Nights!

Here are the dates for our Online Paragon Nights for the 2013-2014 school year!

And last but not least..... Your joke of the week

Teacher: Why can't you ever answer any of my questions?

Student: Well if I could there wouldn't be much point in me being here!
