Vik Muniz

Changing the face of Trash Art

An Artist from Brazil

Vik Muniz takes photographs, and then recreates them with odd objects. His medium is photography (recreates pieces of art, takes picture), food/trash, or household items. His inspiration to become an artist was a painting called A Child's Head by Peter Paul Rubens. He uses a variety of tools from gum and chocolate, to spaghetti and PB and J.
