Chapel
Chapel today was opened by 8th grade. Maggie led students in the pledge to the American Flag, Emma in the pledge to the Christian Flag, and Carissa in the pledge to the Bible. Chloe led us in singing the Grand ole’ Flag, and Jacob closed in prayer.
Our speaker today in chapel was Curtis from the Creation Experience in Branson, MO. He talked to us about studying the Bible and how the word reveals how all things were created through God. He quoted 2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. He then began to talk about our cells and how we have trillions of cells throughout our body and one singular cell is complex, that didn’t just by chance happen like atheists believe.
He said that inside of our body all of our cells work together, but when you take two cells and put them under a microscope they don’t work together. Then he pointed out that our molecules are shaped like a cross and that has to be more than just a coincidence. God holds all things together including us, even the ones who reject God, He still holds them together and loves them. Curtis challenged us to study the word and dig deeper.- Maddie
Goodness Trait
I asked three students what goodness means to them, and these are their answers. Mayme, from the fifth grade, said that goodness means being kind and generous. Clark, from the eighth grade, said that you show goodness when you’re very offering and focused on others. Corban, from the tenth grade, said that goodness means being honest and forgiving. This month’s Bible verse is Proverbs 2:20- “So follow the steps of the good, and stay on the paths of the righteous.” –Kennedy Vaughn
