Spanish 2 Online
Welcome to Spanish 2 online
¡Hola! Welcome to Spanish 2 online with NCVPS!
My name is Sra. Richardson and I am looking forward to working with all of you in the Spanish 2 online course this semester. Our class will start on Monday, January 23rd. I am in the process of calling all of the students in the class. If we have not spoken by Sunday, 1/22 - please call or text me at 336-497-1520.
Please login the first day of the class and read the first announcement and watch/listen to the embedded presentation, then begin with the Getting Started unit! Please do them in that order :)
Important Info:
There are RLCs (Required Live Classes) associated with this Spanish 2 course. I highly recommend you consult the Google calendar for the next few weeks. See below for a link to the calendar (although it is located on all of the Required Live Class pages as well). You will have to attend 10 RLCs (Required Live Classes) this fall: GS (Getting Started), U1 (Unit 1), U2 (Unit 2), U3 (Unit 3), U4 (Unit 4), U5 (Unit 5), U6 (Unit 6), U7 (Unit 7), U8 (Unit 8), & FE (Final Exam preparation). There are a variety of times and days to choose from, but you need to pay attention to the RLC calendar and plan ahead to attend! The first week, you must attend 1 RLC - Getting Started (GS). Choose a day/time for it and get it on your calendar ASAP!

Schedule of Assignments
Students should work at least 1.5 hours a day in the course. This is a block class that begins on 1/23 and ends on 5/26.
Each week I will put zeros in the gradebook for any missing assignments. As long as the assignment is still open the student may submit the assignment to replace the zero. (Please see notes below on the Late Work Guidelines).
All work in Weeks 1-8 (units 1-4) must be turned in by 3/24/2017 at midnight.
These assignments will automatically close. Any missing assignments will calculate as 0s permanently.

Student-Parent Handbook
Dear Parents, Students, and ELAs,
Welcome to NCVPS!
Whether you have taken online courses before or this is your first time in virtual learning, we hope that you will have an enlightening and enriching experience with our programs this semester. The road to success in the online classroom can have some twists and turns, and so we have compiled a new and improved student-parent handbook to help you navigate along the way.
The NCVPS student-parent handbook can be found here: https://ncvps.org/student-parent-handbook.
Please bookmark this page and keep it handy for reference on topics such as navigating Canvas, finding your grades, communicating with your teacher, using the Peer Tutoring Center, creating Virtual Support Center tickets, and much much more! We hope that these tips and videos help you to make a smooth transition to online learning.
If you have further questions about these items or have new questions not answered here, please do not hesitate to contact your NCVPS teacher for clarification.
