Prinicpal's Post
It's hard to believe we have come to the end of first term.
Thank you to all the students and families for your continued patience and support as we navigate the opening of school and get accustomed to our new school procedures.
As we head into second term, we will continue to monitor each of our educational models. On-going feedback from students, teachers and families will guide our decisions as we try to ensure student growth and learning during these unprecedented times.
We will no longer be printing report cards as our new Student Information System (Aspen) allows for electronic reporting. First term officially ends on Thursday November 19th and report cards will be available in the Aspen portal on Tuesday December 1st.

Crusaders in (and out of) the classroom
Every year, Biology students get to experiment with baking soda and vinegar to see what variable makes the reaction the most explosive. The issue is that, when done correctly, the stopper and solution hit the 8.5' ceiling and they never know just how high it would go.
So Mr. Witkowski challenged his Block 1 students - if they could accurately identify the structures and functions of an animal cell, they would take the experiment outside.
They succeeded.
Mr. Witkowski now smells like vinegar.

AP Environmental Science students analyzed teachers' soil this week for nutrient content, pH and other factors. They will send each teacher a report of the results and how the teachers can improve their soils.

Students in Mr. Lyman's AP Physics class calculated the path of a Hotwheels car launched from a ramp. The students had to accurately predict the path of the car to pass through a flaming ring. Fun was had by all.

Presidential Election Results
Good afternoon students.
The results are in.
Congratulations on your outstanding participation:
465 students voted! Our democracy depends upon your active and informed participation, and your ability to speak, listen to, understand, and respect different opinions.
THE RESULTS
In fourth place, receiving 1.1% of the vote are Jorgensen and Cohen of the Libertarian party
In third place, receiving 3.7% of the vote are Hawkins and Walker of the Green-Rainbow Party.
In second place, receiving 40.9% of the vote, Trump and Pence from the Republican Party
Which means, the winning ticket of the CMHS student election, receiving 54.4% of the vote, is Biden and Harris of the Democratic Party
CLOSING
Thank you again students for making your voices heard as citizens. Find out in the days ahead how your votes compare to your town, to your state and to your nation. And as always, remember to be respectful, be responsible, be the best you can be. The choice is yours.
