TV TIME: Argyle West Class Featured on Ch. 8
Ms. Peddy's virtual instruction class joined a Zoom webcast with WFAA's Daybreak show. All the Eagle students participated in a quick dance party, answered questions from the Ch. 8 anchors and Ms. Peddy explained what it has been like teaching virtually.
"I am so thankful that my students were able to participate in this amazing experience," Ms. Peddy said. "Being virtual doesn't mean you have to miss out, it just means things are different. Different is good."
This provided a great experience engaging the Argyle West Eagle students with the news anchors. The class was up and ready to go online for the 6:20 a.m. live appearance. The unique opportunity may have sparked the interest in some future news anchors!

District Partners with Town of Argyle & Denton County In Land Sale
In a commitment to the partnership with the Town of Argyle and Denton County in expediting the Crawford Road Reconstruction Project, the Argyle ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved accepting a below market value for district-owned land during a Special Board Meeting Monday, Sept. 14.
The two land properties sold by Argyle ISD included a 1.236-acre tract at John Paine Road and Crawford Road for a future roundabout, and land for a permanent right of way at Unity Park.
"We are grateful for our continued partnership with the Town of Argyle and Denton County," said Sam Slaton, Argyle ISD School Board President. "This project will have a great and lasting impact on providing safety and traffic improvements that will be very beneficial to our Eagle families and community."
Huge Turnout for Grandparents Day Parade!
What a great morning celebrating Grandparents Day at Hilltop Elementary and Argyle Intermediate with a parade this year!
Both campuses remained committed to celebrating grandparents and did so in grand fashion this year. Typically, the campuses host grandparents for lunch, but due to safety measures in place, visitors are not allowed on campuses at this time.
Our grandparents turned out in big numbers and packed the drive-through line with decorated cars and our Eagles had their signs ready to honor them!
District Celebrates National Arts In Education Week
The arts are an essential part of a complete education, no matter if it happens in the home, school, or community. Students of all ages—from kindergarten to college to creative aging programs—benefit from artistic learning, innovative thinking, and creativity.
Celebrating National Arts in Education Week is a way to recognize this impact and share the message with friends, family, and communities.
National Arts in Education Week is a national celebration recognizing the transformative power of the arts in education. Passed by Congress in 2010 through House Resolution 275, the celebration is designated to bring attention to this cause for elected officials and educational decision-makers across the country and to support equitable access to the arts for all students.
This week we celebrated the creativity and amazing artistic talents of our Eagles!
