The Falcon Flyer
December 8th, 2023
From the Principal!
Somehow, we have already made it to the final week of the first semester of the school year! It would be extremely helpful to your students if you could check Skyward over the weekend to make sure they have all of their missing and late assignments turned in so they can finish this semester on a high note! This coming Friday will be an early release day for staff and students and elementary students will be released at 11:35am. We do ask that you don't pull your students prior to 10:00am so they can get attendance credit for the day.
We had a lot of great events and celebrations this week! We hosted our annual Spanish Spelling Bee, our 5th grade attended Boerne Performing Arts, 4th grade dual language attended the Nutcracker, we held our Title Family Night, and our Read-a-thon raffle winners were drawn! Next week our top donation collectors raising $500 or more, are headed to the movies with Mr. Latiolais! We are looking forward to an exciting last week of the first semester!
Please read through this newsletter for information regarding upcoming events as well as information for the upcoming weeks. As always, please reach out to us if we can help in any way. Have a wonderful weekend!

Title Family Reading Night!
Welcome to the Library!
Congratulations to Neiyrah Martinez, 4th Grade! She is our winner of Library Swag for being caught reading.
We are about to embark on a Maker Space lesson for all grade levels. It's going to be fun in the library and a great way to go into Winter Break!
For Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grades, I will be reading a book about when it snowed here in Texas at Christmas. They will then get the chance to build a snowman, snowflake, or sled.
For the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, I will be reading a book on the 12 Sleighs of Christmas. The students will then get to design and build their very own sleigh.
Parents, please be mindful of your child's library books as you travel over the holidays. Many times, they get left at relatives' houses, on airplanes, or in hotel rooms. Please double-check to make sure they got their library books!
Here is our library schedule: Next Monday will be Day 4
