Tech Tuesdays
Google Hangout on air (tutorial to follow)
Do you need to have a virtual meeting, an interactive presentation or Virtual office hours?
Google hangouts on air is a great way to host a meeting that allows everyone to participate either by watching different interactions or by being a part of the presentation. This is a great way to meet with a distance learning class, host office hours when you can't be physically present, have groups of students "meet" to work on a project or share data across the country! When you are done with your presentation or meeting google on air will automatically save it as a youtube video so that you can go back and re-watch or share.
If you add Poll everywhere to your presentation you can also have participants type in questions for you to answer during your live broadcast. Be on the lookout next Tuesday for a poll everywhere Tech Tuesday!
Group meetings
You can see here that there is one main person and all of the participants are down in the lower right corner. This "Main talker" can be changed from person to person depending on your settings.
Live lectures or guest speakers
A live broadcast of guest speakers can be presented to students that are unable to attend or are distance learners.
Shared Data
You can share collected data with group members to discuss results and implications.
