Empty Bowls 2016
April 8 @ Roanoke Elementary
What is Empty Bowls?
4th and 5th grade students at Roanoke Elementary have been learning about how artists raise awareness about social issues like hunger. Empty Bowls is based on a national movement with the same goal. Roanoke students have also learned about clay and have demonstrated their understanding by creating ceramic bowls. Families of 4th and 5th graders are cordially invited to have a meager meal (soup) with us as we celebrate the students' hard work. Please bring a non-perishable food item (such as canned foods) or a grocery store gift card as your ticket into the event. All donations will be taken to the Roanoke Food Pantry. Help us FILL the 'empty bowls' of others!
