Mrs. Noynaert's Kindergarten Class
Week of February 1, 2016
This Week in Room 508
I am so excited for the 100th Day tomorrow! It is going to be a FUN day!!! Thank you to everyone who sent in items to make it such a meaningful and special day. I hope to see lots of students dressed as 100 year-olds tomorrow!
Have you heard about our baby chicks?! We have been observing eggs over the last three weeks, and we finally had chicks hatch on Wednesday! We enjoyed watching them late last week and will have a few more days to have them at school with us. It has been a great learning experience for everyone!
We will focusing on reading fluently this week.
We will be discussing how authors can use other writers as mentors for their own writing.
We will be reviewing greater than/less than/equal to and the symbols used in the number sentence. We will also introduce coins this week.
The Oil Ranch
Please have your child address a Valentine card for each student in our class. The class list is provided below, but I will also be sending home a paper copy in the daily folder this week. Please start early enough so that each child can write the names by themselves. Please return these by February 10 as well. Thank you!
Opportunity to Help a Fellow Teacher
One of our Pebble Creek Teachers, Mr. Pacher, will be traveling to Haiti for a Mission Trip over Spring Break. He will be collecting the following items that the village desperately needs:
Boys boxers size small, medium, and large
Tank top undershirts size medium and large
Muffin Mix (one of the kids favorite treats)
Betadine (which is similar to peroxide)
Regular size spoon
If you wish to donate to his mission trip, please send the items to school and I will deliver them to Mr. Pacher. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
A reminder from Mr. Whileyman: You are only allowed to bring your child on the stage when eating lunch in the cafeteria. Do not invite other students to eat with you.
