Parents/Staff/Community:
We are excited that the GCPS Book Mobile will be visiting our school on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 at 5:00 PM, for Literacy and Math Night. Students who board the bus will get to choose a new book for free to keep and take home!
The mission of the Book Mobile program is to put books into kids' hands. The two GCPS Book Mobiles visit an average of 140 Gwinnett schools each year and have over 5,000 books on the shelves. The program relies on donations and sponsorships to purchase the new books. Please consider contributing to this literacy initiative by donating here. You will receive a receipt in the mail for your donation.

ATTENTION 5th Grade Parents
During the months of October - March, our School Counselor, Mrs. MacDougall will offer
lessons from the Lifelines Prevention curriculum in our fifth-grade classes. Because one of the
main objectives of this curriculum is to encourage our students to identify trusted adults in
their lives to whom they can turn if they have concerns about themselves or their friends, we
want to provide you with an outline of the four sessions to make it easier for you to talk with
your child about these important lessons.

What is the PTA?
The Parent Teacher Association provides an opportunity for parents to actively engage in their child’s education. It allows parents to connect and build relationships with other parents, while offering opportunities for parents to take part in school activities, attend meetings, and collaborate with teachers and administrators. Local PTA’s play an important role by supporting building improvements through advocacy and in fundraising for curriculum based programs and social events. By getting involved in the PTA you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. You will be able to put your skills and hobbies to use for a noble cause: your child and all children in the community. Becoming a member of the PTA shows that you want to help support programs and events that help enhance student’s experiences at school, and you’ll be demonstrating to your children the importance you place on education.
