Greatest Spinning Innovation

The Spinning Jenny was invented by James Hargraves In order to eases the work and speed up the time it took to make cloth, yarn, and clothing by holding up to three to five spindles. The Spinning Jenny was invented in 1768 and patented in 1770. The inventor, James Hargraves, was a poor spinner and weaver when he came across the idea of making a multiple spindle spinning machine in the small town of Stanhill, Lancashire.Hargraves named the machine after his daughter Jenny who led him to his machines idea on accident.This invention has led america and other countries to modern automated spindles.
