St Bernadette's Primary School
NEWSLETTER | TERM 3 | WEEK 8 | 8 September 2023

Good afternoon all,
It has been all systems go here at school with parent teacher interviews, the interschool cross country carnival, our AMAZING PP Assembly and plenty of fun and learning in our rooms. As I walked around the classrooms this week, it was awesome to see the beautiful work being displayed ready for our open night and I thank all our staff for their hard work during this very busy time of the year.
After a lot of hard work and learning, a group of our Enrichment Students in Year 5 and 6 competed in the Creative Edge Problem Solving Competition a few weeks ago. Our students did an excellent job and like last year, our Year 6 Team has made it into the State Finals which is an awesome effort. I would like to congratulate all our students and say a huge thanks to Mrs Murphy who gives a lot of her own time to support the students in this program.
Thanks to parents who have stayed back for a play after school this week, it is good to know that people do read my newsletter and have stopped the use of balls after school. Much appreciated!
In some fun news this week, one of our talented staff members, Mrs Crawford, has been selected to represent WA in the National Dog Sledding Championships next year. Danni is a huge dog lover and one of Fred’s favourites! We wish her all the best when she competes next year!
Finally, I hope you all have an amazing end to the term and a relaxing holiday break. As you read this, I hope to be on the road to Dalwallinu, singing John Williamson songs and trying to delay the use of iPads with the kids. I have heard there may be a few other families up Coral Bay way in the holidays so I might see you there.
Please look after each other, especially Lisa, and I hope you all enjoy our Open Night and Athletics Carnival. I am sure they will be a heap of fun!
