The Tiger in You...September 18, 2017
Each week, I have challenged you to be dreamers—to think outside the box, to create lessons that are relevant and rigorous, to connect with students , to be innovative, to have a passion for learning, to integrate new practices, to enhance learning, to incorporate brain based strategies, to see in students what they do not see in themselves, and to always let everything that you do showcase the Tiger in you.
Over the last three weeks of school, I have witnessed your generosity, dedication, persistence, creativity, and passion you have forbeing an AMCHS teacher, and I am in awe of how blessed our students and community are to have such dedicated educators who are committed to being difference makers. After traveling to Houston last Thursday (to drop off our Hope for Houston donations), I want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for going above and beyond and providing support to a community in need. The smiles and light beams in the eyes of the students from the TYSS-Stem Academy made my heart happy! It’s easy to take for granted how blessed you are until you step outside your comfort zone.
Though thank you seems so small for the love and support you shared, I am honored and truly blessed to be given an opportunity to work with so many amazing, committed, and caring educators.
The Tiger in you made a ROAR in the city of Houston, and it was sincerely heart felt.
