Tropical Wet And Dry
This land is mainly characterized by its wet and dry weather
Locations:
The Tropical Wet and Dry climate is located close to the equator, in areas like northern South America, mid-Africa, and south Asia.
Seasons:
In these climates there are only two seasons, Wet Season (Summer) which is the shortest, and the Dry Season (Winter) which is the longest. In the Wet Season, vegetation flourishes and in the Dry Season, vegetation suffers. This is caused by changing wind and ocean currents.
Average Temperature:
During Wet Season, weather occurs around 77 degrees, and during Dry Season, weather occurs around 68 degrees. The Temperatures normally stay high because the latitude this climate occurs at.
Yearly Precipitation:
The only time it rains here is during Summer, giving it the name, the Wet Season. This time usually lasts from May to August with June and July holding the heaviest rain. The whole Dry Season usually only has under 4 inches of rain, while the Wet Season has at least 25 inches. Some areas in the path of the Monsoon winds can reach up to almost 500 inches of rain a year!
Factors Affecting Environment:
The Tropical Wet Dry climate is located around the equator where the winds shift direction when the Earth tilts certain ways, giving them the water or not.
