Reflections from Pastor Jennifer
Remember that God desires to spend time with you. Through Jesus, He made a way that we can come boldly in His Presence in worship and prayer. By the Holy Spirit, God makes His dwelling place in our hearts. God is never far from us, nor does He want to be. Stay close, draw near, come through the veil.
OCC The shoebox item to bring for the month of April is shower/bathing items. Packs of soap, wash cloths and loofahs are welcome. I even read a Samaritan's Purse article in which a little girl had prayed for a towel, and one was included in her shoe box that year! Everything you give matters! | Rain Down Blessings You are encouraged to give for the creation of care packages that we will donate to the homeless. Each bag will have about $25 worth of items. I await a final date/time, but we will have an opportunity to hand out bags to the homeless community soon. | FSM Our next First Sunday Meal will be May 7th. That may seem to be a while from now, but it is only 3 weeks. And that is the First Sunday Meal before Homecoming! Start now inviting people to both events. |

Looking Ahead
These are some of the events to (tentatively) mark on your calendar
*Homecoming - Sunday, June 4th is Homecoming! A guest speaker is lined up, and maybe some other guests. Please begin now to invite friends and family to come with you.
*Father's Day Breakfast - Last year this seemed to be a hit, so we will try it again! Breakfast will be served in the fellowship hall (all people, not just dads are welcome to eat!). This will be followed by a time of devotions.
*Biney English and Family - On Saturday, July 8th (tentatively) Biney and his family will be at CCOG for a singing. If you enjoy Southern Gospel music, or know others who do, plan to attend this event.
