Virtual Ceremony

It is the mission of Thousand Oaks High School to inspire, challenge and empower every Lancer, every day.

Virtual Ceremony

Dear Lancer Families,

As I've mentioned numerous times over the last several weeks, this is not the ending we had hoped for. Our seniors deserve so much more than this as they are such an amazing group of students. The hardest part for many of them has been being apart from one another and I hope to correct that. I had a chance to meet with every senior English class over the past several weeks and I let them know that if conditions permit it, I plan to schedule an event in late July or early August in order to bring our seniors back together so they can all reconnect before heading off into their futures. Stay tuned for more information throughout the summer.

Below is our virtual ceremony video. Throughout the day, our students rolled through a parking lot, jumped out of a car and were handed a diploma. No speeches, no performances, no procession of names. The ceremony in the video below has all of those elements. It is our hope that your families will sit back this evening and together watch the video in order to celebrate your amazing seniors one last time today.

If I haven't said it enough, thank you for sharing your students with us. They have made us better teachers and have added much to the Thousand Oaks High School legacy.

Many thanks and enjoy the show,

Dr. Bergmann, Principal

Ways to Stay Connected

In addition to our website (, you can also find us on Facebook. Also, it seems every student group on campus has a Twitter account that will allow you to follow individual groups should you wish to do so. Our school has a great general twitter feed that tweets lots info about the school (@ThousandOaksHS) and I have my own account where I'll tweet my own thoughts and observations about the school (@ewbergmann). Please feel free to follow!
