Steele Fall Festival
Mark your calendars for this Wednesday! Steele High School will be hosting their annual Fall Festival.
Checking Students Out
Please remember we do not release students after 2:15. This ensures that our students are safe. If you need to pick your student up early for an appointment, please try to be here before 2:15.
Stockings for Soldiers
Jordan Leadership Council is gathering supplies to stuff Christmas stockings for soldiers who will not be home for Christmas. Please help us bring some Holiday Cheer to our brave soldiers stationed abroad. We are in need of items small enough to fit into a Christmas stocking: Slim Jims, Beef Jerkey, packages of Holiday nuts, Playing Cards, Dice, Puzzle Books, Holiday Candy, Candy Canes, Socks, Travel-Size Games, Card Games (Uno, Phase 10, etc), Stress balls, gloves, hot cocoa packets, lip-balm, and Ramen noodles are examples of great contributions. Please avoid glass containers, sharp object, products containing alcohol (some mouthwashes, some hand sanitizer, etc), and no aersols. Thanks so much for helping us spread love to these brave men and women!
Diabetes Awareness Month
This month we raise awareness for individuals with diabetes. Did you know...
Our school children with diabetes undergo close monitoring by the district's school nurses. Our nurses provide training for teachers and help manage carbs by using a special lunch menu that includes carb counts which is provided by our nutrition department.
Immunizations for 6th Graders
Don't forget, our 6th graders must have their DTAP and Meningitis vaccines prior to starting 7th grade. These are normally given to 10 year olds, but we have a high number of 6th graders who have not provided documentation of having them.
