From the Eagle's Nest!

Dear Families,

Enrollment is happening this week, at the Administration Building, for incoming 4K and 5K students for next school year.

As a reminder, current 4K families DO NOT need to enroll for 5K. It will be assumed that you will be continuing with NJSD and you will receive a placement letter later this spring with your child's assignment for Kindergarten. (If you are not continuing with NJSD for 5K, please call 751-6800 and inform them of this decision).

All students who will be eligible for 4K (this includes students currently in our EC and Phonology programs) should enroll this coming week.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Mrs. Nelson

Emergency School Closing Information (From the NJSD website)

The Neenah Joint School District provides transportation for approximately 3,000 of its 6,400 students. Under normal circumstances, a decision to close or delay school is predicated on the safe transportation of our children to and from school and will generally be made no later than 6 a.m. This will provide time for local radio and television stations to broadcast school closings, allow time for the bus contractor to notify drivers not to report and allow time for parents to make day care arrangements for children who will be staying home. Safety for children, employees and parents is the overriding factor in making the decision to close school.

When a decision is made to close the Neenah Public Schools, it has been agreed that all private schools being served with transportation in the District will also be closed. An announcement about school cancellations will be sent via text message and e-mail to all parents and staff members through the District's messaging service. An announcement will also be posted on the District website, Facebook page and Twitter feed.

The following radio and television stations will be contacted to broadcast any school closing announcements:

WNAM AM 1280

WOSH AM 1490

WHBY AM 1150

WIXX FM 101.1

WPKR FM 99.5

WAPL FM 105.7

WVBO FM 103.9

WEMI FM 91.9

In the event of a 2 hour delay, there will be NO SCHOOL for the AM Early Childhood and 4K classes.

Absence Policy

  • Child's name
  • Child's teacher
  • Reason for absence

We will record this information in our attendance system, and let your child's teacher know.

If you do not call the office, you should expect a call from us.

Please let us know if you have any specific questions!

Visitor Policy

We welcome visitors to our school! However, for the safety of all children and staff, we require all visitors to check-in and wear a visitor badge if they are in the building.
