Homecoming Week 2018
Theme: Around The World
While Homecoming got its start on college campuses as a fall celebration of the first football game of the season where alumni would return to their alma maters, it eventually spread to high schools. The traditions of high school Homecomings across the country include a parade with floats, royalty election with the crowning of a king and queen, pep rally, alumni reception, mums and garters, all capped off with a big dance. Homecoming is the main event for students and alumni designed to generate enthusiasm for their school. Homecoming week is a great time to come out and enjoy some exciting high school football, get a sneak peek of the band UIL show, enjoy performances by the Blue Angels and Cheerleaders, and soak up the fun and fellowship of a community united as Lobos. This year’s Homecoming theme is “Around The World.”
As Lobos we value a foundation of culture that values unity and pride. Rudyard Kipling stated “For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the pack”. Unity is very apparent in LEISD as we all are now identified as Lobos. Homecoming is traditionally an occasion intended to unite alumni and students to create a stronger sense of school pride and is a wonderful opportunity to see our unity and pride on display. Traditions such as the parade, pep rally, football game, and dance give students and alumni the opportunity to reminisce about glory days of old as well as create new memories that together weave the tapestry of our school’s legacy. We would like to encourage all current students, alumni, parents, and community members to participate in this week’s homecoming activities. From the parade on Wednesday, to the pep rally and game on Friday, we encourage you to come decked out in the Navy and Gold and show that Lobo Spirit!

Report Harmful, Harassing, and Bullying Behavior

All reports remain completely anonymous even during a two-way email conversation, although submitters have the option to reveal their identity if they prefer to have a person-to-person discussion.
