Early College Details
Who: These programs are open to juniors and seniors who are ready to start college-level work and get a head-start towards a high-skill, in-demand career field.
Where: Metropolitan Community College-Business & Technology, 1775 Universal Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64120. Your school district will provide transportation from your high school to the campus.
When: Classes run according to the MCC academic calendar (mcckc.edu/calendar). Students in the Early College Program attend classes at MCC-Business & Technology from9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Cost: Your school district will cover the costs associated with the program, which include tuition, books, and fees.
Why: By participating in the Early College Program, you will
- Earn 47-58 college credits and will receive a college certificate.
- Learn in-demand skills that can help land a paid internship or entry-level job right out of high school.
- Use the college credits earned while in high school to complete an Associate degree in less than one year after graduation.
- Have the ability to transfer college credits to other accredited colleges.
