Staff of the Month Winner- Mrs. Brandell

Mrs. Brandell was nominated for staff of the month because she takes the time to help other teachers. Her time and knowledge is appreciated by teachers. One teacher said she has been a fantastic mentor. Her students are lucky to have her.

School Hours: 8:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Students can be dropped off at 8:30 a.m. and will either go to their classroom or to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Student breakfasts and lunches are free for this school year.

Dismissal will not be staggered this year.

Under the current limited contact conditions, online is the preferred method of ordering. It is Easy, Secure and Safe. There will be a limited amount of order envelopes available at the school for those that require one for payment. Please note that, school dress code will be in effect. If you have any questions, please call Grads Photography at 623.580.4723.

Social distancing and other precautions will be taken during the event for everyone's safety.

Face Masks will be optional during the 2021-2022 school year.

Wildcat Bucks

This year we are no longer passing out CATS tickets. Instead, students receive Wildcat Bucks that can be redeemed for prizes. Students first opportunity to redeem the Wildcat Bucks is this Wednesday August 18, 2021 during their recess. They can purchase Otter Pops using their Wildcat Bucks!

Early Release Content

Thank you for all parents for supporting our early release Fridays. This Friday New River teachers participated in a training with Dr. Marone on standards based mindset and how that will look in our school wide grading practices.

Families with Children Under the Age of Five

The Deer Valley Family Resource Center (DVFRC) is a great resource for families. They have an office on the New River Elementary campus. They offer parenting workshops, activities for kids and families and resources.

Next week, Friday August 13 at 10 am. they are bringing in a special guest to provide Musical Storytelling for children under five and their parents. Take advantage of this free activity.
