Springs Studio Scoop
Springs Studio for Academic Excellence, October Edition
A Note from Executive Principal, Mr. Knoche
It's October Count Time
October Count is how schools in the state of Colorado receive their per-pupil funding. Unlike traditional high schools, the process is a bit different for Springs Studio given the blended nature of our program. Students that school consistently will have no issues meeting the October Count guidelines for funding and will not be contacted. We are asking that families review the requirements below and assist our teacher's verifications by getting work done early in the day. There are three components which we need for compliance, to ensure we verify student attendance the count window:
PRE-COUNT WINDOW: 9-25 to 10-1
Today marks the start of the pre-count window
Students should work normally within their Edgenuity courses
DO NOT take a day off for any reason
Logon and submission of activities data must be completed each day
Students who are not working will be contacted to ensure they are counted and may be asked to come into the building if progress is not made
COUNT DAY: WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 2
DO NOT TAKE THIS DAY OFF FOR ANY REASON
Do your work before noon so we can verify within the school day
All students must complete work in their Edgenuity courses if they have one
Make this the Number 1 Priority
Aleks can come second on this day
Students on campus will be taken care of by staff on campus.
Students not working will be contacted relentlessly by staff and Admin until minimum requirements are met. (It's that important)
POST COUNT WINDOW: 10-3 to 10-9
Students should work normally within their Edgenuity courses
DO NOT take a day off
Logon and submission of activities data must be completed each day
Students who are not working will be contacted to ensure they are counted and may be asked to come into the building if progress is not made
We cannot stress the importance of working during the October Count window enough. It is imperative that students meet these requirements in order to continue schooling with Springs Studio.
