Mr. Corso’s Principal’s Message
Positive Raiders: Responsible, Respectful, Hard Working and Kind
As Thanksgiving approaches, I have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for the support of our families. At Coffee with the Principal, parents’ positive support for the work our staff is doing was appreciated so much. Families have also donated over $10,000 to staff wish lists. Wow! I am so thankful for our staff’s dedication to their craft and our students. I am thankful for my health and for my wonderful family. I am so thankful.
A Reminder from our Guidebook for Reopening: California is currently under a travel advisory. If your family is considering travel at this time or planning a trip, please review this important information from the CDC. We appreciate your support in reducing exposure to students and staff.

BMMS Tech Tip: This week I am sharing a BMMS YouTube video that shows how to update a PUSD (or any) Chromebook. Here’s the LINK.
iReady Information: We wanted to provide some more information about the math/reading diagnostic assessment PUSD is using for students. This document provides parents information about our district supported software program - iReady. The document is presented in both English and Spanish. LINK SPANISH Translation
Still Looking for Volunteers: In order to help our return to campus, BMMS could use more adults to help supervise classrooms and students on campus. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this form below. Our volunteers would take attendance, make sure students are safe in the classroom, and assist with connecting online and staying on task. We will be interviewing volunteer candidates to ensure understanding of the expectations and meeting district requirements. Please click this link to share your interest in volunteering to supervise students: LINK More information about PUSD volunteers can be found at https://www.powayusd.com/en-US/volunteer

Giving Tuesday, 12/1
A little kindness can have a big impact. Tuesday December 1st is Giving Tuesday, a day centered around giving back to causes near and dear to your heart. If you haven’t had a chance to donate to the BMMS Foundation, now is a great time to show some kindness to BMMS teachers and staff by donating. How? Text “Giving Tuesday” to 858-609-8666 anytime this week to receive a link to a secure website where you can donate. We will be using these funds for Teacher Grants, a fund that will be ready as teachers have needs over the upcoming months. Teachers submit a grant request to the Black Mountain Foundation, and we allocate money to meet their needs. Spread a little kindness to our BMMS teachers this Tuesday, and thanks for your support.
