Weekly Newsletter - 5/20/19
5/17/19
Hello RHE families,
We had a wonderful Field Day, and we lucked out with great weather! A big thank you to Ms. Ortendahl, the RHHSA, the parents, and the teachers for working together to help make it a great event for the kids. Thank you to Mrs. Ralston, Mrs. Dougherty, and all of the parent volunteers for making the day special!
A special thanks to Ms. McVoy for preparing our students to put on a great sounding Spring Instrumental Concert! I particularly enjoyed the final piece when both the band and orchestra played the Star Wars theme together.
Our music teachers do a terrific job cultivating the musical talents of our children. It’s always so impressive to watch and listen to the show.
Please see below for information and events happening at RHE!
Have a wonderful weekend!

As you know, Rolling Hills Elementary will be undergoing a complete renovation during next school year (the 2019-2020 school year). We are excited about the transformation that will be happening at our school. During the renovation, Rolling Hills Elementary will be housed at the former Richboro Middle School (98 Upper Holland Road, Richboro, Pa 18954) for the 2019-2020 school year. Currently, Wrightstown Elementary is housed at this location during their current renovation. There has been a lot of planning to help us prepare for next school year and for the renovations.
Families are invited to tour Richboro Middle School on Thursday, May 23rd, 6:30-7:30. Additionally, I will be holding two informational meetings in the auditorium for families. Parents with students currently in kindergarten through second grade can meet in the auditorium at 6:30. Parents with students currently in third through fifth grade can meet in the auditorium at 7:00. If parents have students that span different grade levels, you can choose which session to attend.
Parents and students will be able to see the layout of the school and the playground. The school currently houses Wrightstown Elementary. There will be some adjustments when we move to the school. Classrooms assignments and locations have not been determined. The tour is to give families the opportunity to see our future home.
Please note that this is not a student drop off event. We ask that students stay with their parents while visiting RMS/WES. During the time of our visit, we will still be guests of the school. We will want to be respectful of the classrooms and decorations when we visit for the evening.

If families cannot attend on May 23rd, that is ok. We will still be holding our Meet and Greet in August before school starts. At that time in August, students will be able to see the school and their assigned classroom.
RHE Library - Book Checkout

Crayola ColorCycle Program
All around Rolling Hills, students and teachers will be collecting used markers that are ready to be discarded. Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used markers you may have around the house- even non-Crayola brands! Highlighters and dry erase markers can also be included. Drop-off boxes will be located around the school for your child to deposit the markers.
