2016 - 2017 School Year

It is time to start thinking about planning for next year. The first day of school for students in grades 1 through 4 is August 30th. Kindergarten students will begin on August 31st. We are currently working on class placements for the 2016-2017 school year. As we have done in the past, we are asking for your input. There is a parent input form attached to the email sent with this newsletter. We ask that you return the parent input form by Thursday, May 12th.

Student's teacher assignments will be sent home mid-August. Please remember that we cannot take specific teacher assignments.

PARCC Testing

Students have been working very hard this week on PARCC testing. We cannot be more pleased with their hardwork and perseverance.

Please continue to be diligent about being in school on time on testing days. At this point, there are only a minimal number of make-ups that need to take place.

The remaining dates for testing are:

Grade 3 - MATH

May 13, 17, 19 and 20

Grade 4 - MATH

May 13, 16, 19 and 23

Please remember that PARCC testing is a requirement of the state. The results of testing provide the school and school district with information regarding curriculum alignment, curriculum standards, and allow us to identify areas where we are doing well and areas where we need to address.
