The Month of the Holy Rosary
DIOCESAN YOUNG ADULT MASS | NOVEMBER 3
In this first year of the Eucharistic Revival and ahead of National Vocations Awareness Week, young adults from across the Diocese of Rochester are invited to the Diocesan Be A Witness Young Adult Mass on Thursday, November 3, at Sacred Heart Cathedral. The evening will be a great opportunity to ponder how to witness to the Christ we receive in the Eucharist while living out one's vocation. The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Matano and Father Peter VanLieshout will be the homilist. The evening will also include Adoration, food trucks, and fellowship. Grilling with God
At the beginning of the month, Converge Young Adult Community hosted Grilling with God at Peace of Christ Parish- St. James Church in Rochester. Converge Young Adult Community is a community of faithful young adults in the greater Rochester and Irondequoit areas. During the evening, young adults enjoyed a casual backyard BBQ, prayed the Rosary together, and shared in some fellowship. Respect Life Month
The Catholic Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month in October. This annual observance provides Catholics an opportunity to grow in their understanding of how much of a gift human life is and help build a culture that cherishes and protects it. The Diocese of Rochester and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) provides many ways to enter into this important month. The WWME weekend teaches communication techniques such as active listening, listening with the heart and empathy towards your spouse's feelings. It is based on the sacrament of Holy Matrimony and expresses the importance of love in the union and encourages this love be taken out into the world in various ministries to serve God by strengthening the couples and families in the church. The Marriage Encounter gives busy couples much needed time together to focus on each other and deepen their communication. After the Experience, couples often return to their life and families refreshed with renewed commitment to each other. Application fee is $100. Eucharistic Revival Speaker Series

Young adults are invited to the Eucharistic Revival Speaker Series at St. Paul's. Each month there will be a guest speaker presenting on a different topic related to the Eucharist. Speakers include Fr. Peter Van Leishout, Dr. Matthew Kuhner, Sr. Karen Dietz, Lisa Lickona, Fr. Peter Mottola, Fr. Bob Kennedy, and Christine Kvam. Series participants will receive a free copy of the book Becoming Eucharistic People by Timothy P. O’Malley which will be incorporated into the series. Weekend Eucharist Retreats | Notre Dame Retreat House
Notre Dame Retreat House is offering several weekend retreats this fall on the importance of the Eucharist and why it is a gift and the action that should inspire our every day living. Retreats will offer thoughts on the different aspects of the Mass such as Mass and its History; Mass as a Meal; Mass as Thanksgiving and Mass as Mission. Registration is limited!
