Time Is Up!

The Government Has Full Control

Big image

Same Thing Everyday

Waking up at six in the morning is a dread

Not being able to do my hair

Barely eating a piece of bread

Having to stand in the cold air

Waiting for the bell to ring due to bell to bell instruction

We sit in class trying to stay awake

There are many distractions

Having tests to take

With the eight minutes transitions few friends we begin to see

As the day goes by we struggle to drag ourselves to class

Having to raise a point grade to a B

Trying our best to pass

Trying to graduate on time

And not trying to struggle on a dime

"But again, truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty you need only to look into the mirror."

V spoke this words to the citizens of London over a big screen, one evening to show them that they are to be blame for their condition when they could fight against the government and get freedom instead of living like prisoners. Most people now are living by how others tell them just to look like everyone else; to blend in. Most countries' governments have total control of their people and their way of living. Like in India the women have to go covering themselves or else they'll get punish and they really aren't heard for their opinion
Kaskade - Let Me Go feat. Marcus Bently (Original Mix)

Let Me Go - Kaskade

When I looked at myself
I said what the hell
Then I thought you were gone
But I knew you were too good

And I said to myself let me go
And I said to myself let me go

Cause you're burning a bridge
In the field that I sleep in
Working a feeling
I know I can't keep
And I'm over it
Let me go [x2]

You were looking at me
Like you knew I was weak
But the harder I try
The more I let you win
And I said to myself let me go
And I said to myself let me go

Cause you're burning a bridge
In the field that I sleep in
Working a feeling
I know I can't keep
And I'm over it
And I'm over it
Let me go [x4]

Cause I feel like a fool when I walk through your fire
I need you to bruise cause I'm sick and I'm tired
Do you hear me now?
Do you hear me now?
Let me go
Do you hear me now?
Let me go
Do you hear me now?
Let me go
Do you hear me now?
Let me go
Do you hear me now?
Let me go
Do you hear me now?
Let me go

Tumblr

Tumbler can be seen as a dystopian trend because everyone who gets an account or at least go on it want to be like each other. That's basically what a dystopian society consists; everyone being just like one another and that is what the governments wants, they dont want people to be over there so they'll prefer for everyone just to stay simple. Tumblr is use to be someone you aren't are, there are people who strive to be perfect just like the things others post on Tumblr. Tumblr is a dystopian tool that just brainwashes us and sometimes make us do stuff that later we'll regret.

Dystopian Society

In this world we are slowly heading to becoming a dystopian society as there are a lot of things happening around us that we aren’t aware of all due to the government keeping them hidden. The article "Big Data, Meet Big Brother" clearly states that the taking of information and turning it into knowledge has shifted from causation to correlation. This means that instead of asking why things happened people are just trying to put a stop to trends by predicting situations before they occur based on past events. As time goes by we can see how technology has improved by the recent release and introduction of Amazon drones used to deliver packages directly to people's houses instead of having them delivered the old fashioned way. This is an example of how dehumanized we are becoming as a society in the sense that lots of times we prefer robotic contact rather than personal and would not mind getting rid of jobs that humans have used to survive. It seems that we will always depend on technology. We can also see that our world is dystopian in a way by how the government classifies different ethnic groups, such as the Muslims, whom the government might think of as a threat to the country thanks to the 9/11 attacks but they really might not be at all. We have become afraid of our own kind. Immigrant people also fall into these criteria based on the government who think they just come to make the economy worse or take the jobs of American citizens but there also some who make a great impact to this nation. As people we have become so lazy, thanks to the easy access to almost anything that's resulted from our advanced technology, that we don't even take time to truly research statistics and the information handed to us. We are so easy to manipulate. For the past seven years we weren’t aware that the government could actually be spying on our every move even if you weren’t a threat or we simply didn't care as long as they didn't interfere with our lives. We are being watched even if we don’t want to but we've allowed that thanks to our total disregard of the issues outside our personal bubbles and instilled fear of anyone different. So spying is how the government thinks they will be able to stop certain crimes. It’s how Zoe Lofgren says "It's a big intrusion into people's privacy" not only by getting into their personal calls and messaging but also through different ways such as emails and chat rooms (TheGuardian). However we all have the right to our freedom and privacy, and it’s stated in the constitution, but somehow the government has taken that privilege away from us. Take India or the Middle East, women there have no say or right to vote in their country; they aren’t able to raise their voice to fight against the wrongs done to the people. With all these events happening around us and our continued silence it will become easier for the government to have control of us and be able to make this world even closer to a dystopian society. Then it will be too late for us to actually do something and put a stop to it. The government has different sneaky ways of manipulating us into believing that they are doing things for the good of the nation but we aren’t even aware that this can cost us our lives or even affect us in the long run.
