Notes from the Principal
We are one week away from the start of school. With every school year comes excitement and worries for all involved, and this one has definitely raised the bar. I’d like to continue to thank you all for your patience and understanding as we have had to fully reimagine almost every aspect of our school day along with every policy and procedure. There has been a lot to address, and I feel our staff has and is doing an amazing job to bring us back together. We are still finalizing many details and will share them with our families as soon as possible.
I do want to take a second to address with everyone that this is a very delicate environment we are hoping to create for our school community. We need everyone’s full cooperation and understanding that we are in this together, and each of our actions can and will affect the entire school. We will be working with the Department of Health, and they have the final say in our ability to stay open through the school year. Many schools throughout the country have already reopened, and the headlines have shared how the virus very quickly impacted some of them. In order for us to not face a similar fate, I feel I must remind us to take this very seriously. Please greatly consider the impact that your choices to interact, travel, and even to go out to eat may have on the whole school community. If certain decisions are out of your control, please remember that you are asked and encouraged to self-quarantine your student(s) at any time throughout the year, with no repercussions, if there is any possibility of exposure to or with the display of any symptoms of COVID 19. Our faculty have designed and adjusted their educational approach to allow a beneficial classroom experience to be received either in the classroom or from home. I truly believe we can make this work and keep us healthy, but it requires us to all do our part. Please continue conversations with your children and practice with mask-wearing and social distancing to help them be prepared for next week.
Thank you for being a part of our Montini Catholic School family. We look forward to assisting you in raising your young ones and building their relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Let our trust be in Him.
Open House & Supply Drop Off
Supplies will be brought to school in Thursday and Friday ( 20 & 21st). To make it easier for our students, we are asking for school supplies on Thursday and paper products/cleaning on Friday. We know some cleaning products are not available, please do not stress if you can not find something!
First Days of School
As we approach the first day of school, I wanted to remind everyone that drop off will look different this year. Students will be dropped off and enter the building immediately after having their temperature taken at the door. Parents are not allowed to walk students to class. If anyone would like to take a picture outside the building parents must park in the church parking lot to do so. We promise to take the best care of any sad kiddos as we would our own! IT will be an adjustment for everyone but know they are in loving hands when you leave!
