The Essence of Education

Education = Opportunity

Education is something that is very important to me, because it opens so many doors and offers so many amazing opportunities. There is always something new or something more to learn and knowledge is truly the key to happiness and success. It's exciting!!!

Teaching is Rewarding

As a teacher, I will hold myself to the highest standard, so that I can ensure that my students get the best education and all the support that I can possibly give them. Teachers are a students' life line into the real world and in order for students to achieve their full potential, I plan on being that cheerleader encouraging and cheering for them throughout their school career. There have been several instance that I have heard about, experienced or witnessed in which students didn't feel that they were worth their teachers time or that they weren't smart enough, this could just be a lack of communication, but as a dedicated teacher, it will be my job to make sure none of my students feel this way.

Support is Imperative

There are quite a few schools that don't have the support of their community which is very disheartening. If our youth and the educators don't have the support of those around them, the support of their parents, friends and other family then they may not feel like their education or the things that their doing are important and why should they put in the effort if nobody else is going to be there to support and encourage their positive behavior and learning.

Make Sure Students Know their Worth

As my students I expect a real effort from each and every pupil. If students see that you know their potential, that you support them and stand behind them 100% then that will encourage them to reach their full potential. If I go to school every day and give my students nothing but the best that I have then I expect my students to give me their best effort. All I can ask for is THEIR best.
"Teaching is a beautiful job; as it allows you to see the growth day by day of people entrusted to your care. It is a little like being a parent, at least spiritually. It is a great responsibility." -Pope Francis
