Wednesday, May 18

  • Team Meetings during planning: In addition to the minutes, discuss 2016-17 Supply List, End of the Year Reminders, All tech work orders entered, locker clean outs, student separations to be submitted to Admin, and other pertinent information to close out this school year.
  • Parent Tour at 10:00am
  • REACH Ceremony for Deserae Herrera at 12:00pm at Jackson Street (Ms. Busby and Dr. Jackson)
  • Yearbook signing during Connections

Thursday, May 19

  • HOMEROOM TEACHERS: Make sure all names for Pre-Checkouts are log on this Google Form. Please turn all pre-checkout notes and yellow form into Ms. Sweeney by the end of the day.
  • Award Recognition for students in Ms. Clark's class at 1:30pm
  • PTO Attendance Celebration at 2:45pm for students who earned Perfect Attendance

    for the Year (intercom announcement will be made)

  • TSA Banquet in the cafeteria after school
  • Band Concert at Harps Church in Fayetteville at 6:30pm

Friday, May 20

To Do List/Reminders

  • There will be NO Milestones Re-test for 8th-grade students this year.
  • Although scores are dropping daily, we do not have all Milestones data for all grades as of today.
  • 8th Grade homeroom teachers: Please distribute the Student Portal Information. Students will need this information to access their high school schedule.
  • Have you shared the CCRPI results with your students? They should know their hard work in your classroom is being recognized:
  • Click here for pre-checkout information for Honors Day. Please read the script as written to students. As outlined in the instructions, click here for the Google Form to log names.
  • Click here for the Adjusted Schedule for the Honors Day Program.
  • Are you interested in tutoring students in foster care? If so, click here.
  • Teacher Recommendations are due by May 23rd.
  • Do NOT forget to complete your STAFF AUP. An email was sent by Ms. Cato on May 10th.
  • Be mindful of classroom management by teaching from bell to bell, creating engaging lessons, and being proactive with potential discipline issues. See something- Say something.
  • Administrators will continue walkthroughs this week. Thank you for continuing to provide a structured and safe environment so your students will continue to learn.
  • Class Profiles are due during post planning.
  • Begin to discuss end of the year reminders with students: No bookbags on the last day of school; return all textbooks and/or equipment; clear library and lunch fines; for students who want their final report cards mailed, bring a stamped addressed envelope to his/her homeroom teacher. Remind students if they have parent portal, they may access final grades via the Internet.
