What Are Some Organs Of The Respiratory System?
Nose- The air enters and leaves the body from the nostrils of the nose. The nose is coated with mucus, which moistens and warms the air.
Pharynx- The pharynx is basically the throat. It is the only organ the respiratory and digestive system share. This leads to the the trachea.
Epiglottis- The piece of cartilage that seals the trachea and prevents food from entering the windpipe.
Trachea- The trachea is your windpipe; This is the passage that air flows towards the lungs.
Bronchi- The bronchi is an organ that directs air to the lungs.
Lungs- This is the main organ of the respirtory system. Gas exchange happens here.
Larynx- The organ that produces voice in humans. It is located on the top of the trachea.

An Interactive Learning Expierence
The Respiratory System Is Awesome!
So... The Basics You Should Have Learned...
-The respiratory system is responsible for bringing oxygen in and carbon dioxide out of your body. It is also responsible for breaking down your food into glucose
-The lungs are the main organs of the respiratory system. Gas exchange happens in the respiratory system.
-The nose takes in and lets out air through its nostrils.
-The Pharynx,Larynx, Trachea, and Bronchi are pathways that lead to the lungs and back to the mouth.
-The pathway of your air: 1) Nose 2) Pharynx 3) Trachea 4) Bronchi and Lungs 5) AND BACK!
