Welcome to our New Teachers!

I am so excited to announce the arrival of 3 very special faces you will see on campus this week. I know we will make them feel welcomed and show them the Vista ropes!

Welcome to Ms. Barbret - Our new 5th grade teacher has arrived! Many of you had a chance to meet her on Friday, but if you didn't get to, I encourage you to pop by Room 12 and say hello!

Welcome to Ms. Romero - Katherine Romero will be our 2nd grade long term substitute while Mrs. Ekmekji is out to tend to baby Ekmekji once he arrives.

Welcome to Ms. Rogers - Anna Rogers will be our 6th-8th long term sub while Mrs. Hart carries out her maternity leave.

Formal Observations Begin This week

Just a heads up that formals will be starting this week. Please keep in mind that this time is sacred so if there is a situation with a student, it will have to be handled after the observation. The final schedule is here. Thank you!!

Lunch with Principal - Friday, Feb. 5

Please get your names in no later than Thursday so I can prepare the treat for Friday. Also, please remind students they are to get their lunch and bring it with them.
TK-2 Lunch with Principal List

Please send students to the office at 11:15.

3-5 Lunch with Principal List

Please send students to Room 7 at 12:15.

Student Retention Lists

It may seem early for this, but in an effort to get a better picture of the spaces we have available next year, we'd like you to think about the students you may plan to retain. Remember to keep the following in mind:

1) Each teacher may retain 2 students only (unless there's a reasonable argument for more)

2) Any student up for retention must have an SST

Please list your candidates for retention in this document by the end of this week.

Peer Observations

Kudos to all those teachers who completed a peer observation in the month of January. Remember when you observe, to share a copy of the document with the person you observe and the admin. team.
