Our Promise
Every student in Dallas School District is known by name, strength, and need, and graduates ready for career, college, and community.
Celebrating the 95%
Well, just like that another football season is in the books. Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs and Andy Reid who is a model for professionalism and high character. If it wasn't the Seahawks I suppose it was nice to see it play out as it did!
Over the last semester, I have enjoyed watching our Leadership students develop their plan for their student-led Winter Dance. Kudos to the kids and Julie Pete for a job well done! When we talk about putting students in situations that require them to lead, this is definitely that and they did an amazing job! Love our kids!
I appreciate all of your input to the Board last week at the work session. We talked about our 95% of students that attend our school who are wanting and willing to do well and who deserves our attention. They make our jobs rewarding! I challenge us all to continue to celebrate these kids and not let the smaller percentage dictate our overall view of our student body. We have some challenging kids for sure and our 95% deserves us and our best!
I have appreciated the conversations that I have been able to have with grade-level content teams. I value the time to touch base with you all and recognize I haven't been able to this enough lately. I look forward to our upcoming mid-year conferences and on-going work to create meaningful learning opportunities for our students.
Glad you're here!
A Kind Note From Afar
I received this kind note from a parent this evening and thought I would share it! There are a lot of great stories coming from the work that you all do!
Hello..I wanted to reach out and say thank you to you and your staff at LaCreole. I don't get to see the everyday learning that he is getting as I currently live in Minnesota. I have seen him grow leaps and bounds since he moved back to Oregon though. I don't know how much you know but he struggled very much in his 6th-grade year in Worthington Minnesota with me. To see his grades and attendance looking so great is something every parent wants. So again thank you... It truly takes a village and I'm glad it's with you all.

Thank you, Have a great day!
