Welcome to your 2nd STAAR Camp!
Today, 8th Graders will be working on Moon Phases and Seasons and the 7th Grade will work on Classification and Dichotomous Keys. Follow the instructions below to complete your work for the day!

7th Grade Agenda: Classification
1. What's My Rule? Classification Game
Try and figure out what rule your partner is using to classify the objects on your desk. Do this three times per person. Write down your rules on the handout.
2. "Trip to the Zoo"-Classification Card Sort
Sort each organism into one of the Kingdoms of Life. Write your answers down on the handout when you are finished.
3. Create a Dichotomous Key-Big Cats
Imagine you are on a trip to the Dallas Zoo and you and your friends go to see the big cats exhibits. Create a dichotomous key using the characteristics of the cats you see.
