LEVEL UPdate October 2018
A letter from Ms. Dandelet
Did you know that during every professional development day our staff holds a community building circle, just like the circles your children do every day?
Did you know that our team has a weCODE matrix of expectations for adults, just like the weCODE expectations you see around the building for students?
Did you know our team develops personalized learning plans to guide our professional learning path throughout the year, just like your children?
Did you know that our team plays new games each professional development day, so we can learn new ways to engage your children through games, a foundational component of our school vision?
We know that we can't help instill the love of learning in our students if we aren't learners ourselves. We believe a community of learners is the best community for student success.
Thank you for being a part of our community of learners!

Children are welcome to attend under the supervision of an adult. Thank you in advance for giving your time. Volunteers mean the world to us!
Community Calendar - Keep track of LUA days
This link will help you keep track of all of the events at LUA this year. This is our Community Calendar - a yearly calendar of events you can subscribe to. Events will be updated throughout the year. This calendar will NOT keep track of grade level events such as field trips and after-school clubs - only events that apply to ALL STUDENTS.
Band and Orchestra for 4th - 8th graders
We are kicking off our 4-8th grade band/orchestra program with an instrument exploration opportunity on October 9th. Did you know there are many ways to make Band and Orchestra lessons more affordable? The Pioneer Foundation has a link for interested families who would like to work concessions at Twins, Wild, Vikings, and other events and put their pay straight toward band and orchestra fees. How great is that? Check it out - https://pioneerfoundation.weebly.com
