A Peek at Our Week

Hello Families!

Our weeks have been filled with wonder and joy in learning. Our chicken eggs are about to hatch and we will soon welcome baby chicks! We had a blast at the Science Expo and now that the warm weather has set in we have taken our learning outdoors. We are excited to make the most of our last weeks in 1st Grade!

Important Update: Class Trip-Postponed for now. So sorry for the change in plans!

Reminders- Please bring in a cap that can be kept at school & apply sunscreen in the morning as we are spending more time outdoors. Creatively Green tomorrow night!

Fundations and Word Study

Our class is thinking more and more about using fluency in reading- Including focus on punctuation and expression. Our Fundations lessons are reinforcing all long vowels as well as base word, suffix and contractions. Be on the lookout for a new unit packet being sent home soon.

What are we Reading?

This week we finished up Mrs.Piggle Wiggle. What a delight- the children adored this classic story, filled with important lessons. We cannot get enough of our read aloud time!

Happy Reading!
