Community Advisory Partners
What is CAP?
Community Advisory Partners or "CAP" is a group of parents who meet to discuss their concerns and needs for students at the school site. This is a general meeting, aimed at finding programs to best serve our entire school community. Each year the state gives our school sites monies to purchase items for our students, which can include safety, technology programs, tutoring, etc.
Responsibilities of CAP
Analyze school site data.
Identify current resources and program practices
Prioritize site needs - LCAP Prioritized List
Monitor the effectiveness of actions and services as new data arises
Facilitate correspondence between ELAC and other school site committees and CAP
Maintain agendas, minutes, and sign-in sheets for all CAP meetings
JES Safe School Plan Public Meeting
Each school in the state of California is mandated to annually review and update a Comprehensive School Safety Plan. The plan provides the school with the opportunity to bring together a Safe School Planning Committee to focus on site safety issues. Annual goals, objectives, and activities are developed, shared with the staff and community for input, and brought forward to the Safe School Planning Committee for approval.
Our staff, students, and parents are committed to working together to ensure that our school has a positive, safe, and secure environment for learning. California Education Code requires that a meeting be held to allow members of the public the opportunity to express an opinion about this plan. The notification information for our Comprehensive Safe School Plan public meeting is included below.
