Hillcrest STEAM Academy Newsletter
October 2018
From the Office...
Hello STEAM Families,
In just two weeks, we are closing out the first quarter of school, and we are full STEAM ahead. As we enter into October, we encourage you to stay involved. Here are a few ways to get involved this month:
1.) Join us for the PTA meeting on October 4 from 5:30-6:30pm.
2.) Attend Parent Teacher Conferences on October 24 or October 25.
3.) Join us as a volunteer. You are welcome to serve as a WatchD.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) volunteer, or just schedule a time to read.
Finally, take a few moments to review the October Newsletter. As always, let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for sharing your children with us!

State School of Character
Character Education is much more than a curriculum, or something teachers "do" for 20 minutes each day. Instead, it is woven into everything we do here at Hillcrest STEAM Academy. Simply put, it is not just about teaching kids to be good... it’s teaching them to be their best.
If you are interested to hear more about this process, contact Dr. Pearson or Dr. Winkelmann. We would be happy to talk about this process with you.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Wednesday, October 24 - 8:00am-8:45am & 4:45 - 8:00pm*
Thursday, October 25 - 8:00am - 7:00pm*
