"Whatever is Best for the Students"
This week I had several conversations with teachers about changes in their teaching assignments for next year. None of these decisions were made hastily, nor were they made without acknowledging the discomfort I would be causing those who faced a change. That being said, I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism shown by all, and how often the response I received centered around, "I'll do whatever is best for the students."
Being willing to learn new curriculum, move classrooms, work with new teammates, and step out of the comfort zone for the best interest of students is what makes a teacher invaluable. These flexible, student-centered professionals are what makes a school successful and I am very grateful to have you as part of the BMS staff!
Congratulations, Sam!
