Running of the Vikings - Tonight

If your child is participating in tonight's Running of The Vikings, please make sure your child is on the track by the home stands at 6:45 pm. Mrs. Stoner and Mr. Holt will get students lined up in the tunnel at that time, so they are ready to run shortly before 7:00 pm.

Remember that students must have their grey Running of the Viking shirt to receive free admission and be able to run through the tunnel. All shirts were delivered to students Thursday.

Say Cheese

Picture day is Wednesday! Please check your child's Friday folder if you have not received an order form. Picture re-takes will be scheduled at a later date for students who are absent on Wednesday.

Early Release on October 28th

We will release school at 11:30 am on Friday, October 28th so that teachers can hold parent teacher conferences. Teachers will be sending home information soon about available times to meet that day. This is a great opportunity for parents to hear about how their child is progressing after the first nine weeks of school.

Please note that there will not be afternoon PPCD classes on October 28th. All transportation changes for October 28th are due on or before October 27th. Transportation changes will not be accepted on early release days.

LVISD October Character Trait - RESPECT

October's character trait is RESPECT. Here are some ways that students and teachers can show respect for each other:

  • Follow the Golden Rule
  • Be tolerant and accepting of differences
  • Use good manners, not bad language
  • Be considerate of the feelings of others
  • Don't threaten, hit, or hurt anyone
  • Deal peacefully with anger, insults and disagreements

Mrs. Sexton will be teaching students about respect in this month's guidance lessons.
