The Fire that Fuels us is the Fire that Guides us..-Message from Principal
Dear Dragon Families,
I hope this letter finds you filled with excitement as we mark the halfway point of the school year. As we move through the second trimester, it's important for our students to practice reflection. This has been our focus for the month of January. It is a part of our CASEL, or the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning which emphasizes five core competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. These competencies form the foundation of a well-rounded education that fosters skills that are essential for lifelong success.
Throughout this month, our teachers have been working with our students to reflect in their daily lives. Encouraging our children to develop these skills will empower them to become compassionate, resilient, and confident individuals ready to face the future's challenges.
We can draw inspiration from the words of Albert Einstein: "Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think." Our students possess incredible potential, and it is our collective responsibility to nurture their ability to think critically, solve problems, and become lifelong learners. Let's continue to nurture their unique talents, celebrate their accomplishments, and guide them as they navigate life's ups and downs.
As we move forward, let us remember that education is not just about what happens in the classroom but also about fostering character, resilience, and the determination to succeed. Together, as a community, we can help our Dragons spread their wings and soar to new heights.
As always, "Go Dragons!"
