Reading 101 for English Language Learners
Why is reading so hard for English Language Learners (ELLs)? This is a question that comes up often when working with ELLs. While this topic is complex, there are research-based strategies specific to ELLs for the 5 instructional areas of reading (phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension).
