Principal's Corner
April 16th
Grizzlie's Game
Permission slips have been handed out to students who were on the Principal's List and Honor Roll to attend a field trip to watch a Fresno Grizzlies game on Tuesday, April 25th. Students will leave the school at approximately 7:30 AM and return at 4:00 PM. Students will get a free lunch (hot dog and beverage) and participate in a "Making the Grade" assembly in the morning. We will be asking for some teachers to assist us with chaperoning too. We're excited to be able to participate in this fun event this year.
SBAC Assembly
Our Annual SBAC assembly will be held on Friday, April 21st. During the assembly, we will share the video that Tony created of our staff. We will also have a comedian who will be performing for the remainder of the assembly. We're hoping his message is powerful and inspirational.
Ultimate Frisbee
Our spring intramural sport has been selected. It's going to be Ultimate Frisbee. I've never played it before, but I heard it's very fun. Sign-ups will be posted in the office corner. Games will be held on Mondays and will begin at the end of the month. If you are interested in participating, please sign up.
SBAC testing
SBAC testing will begin next week in ELA and 6th grade. Sue will be training test administrators during our T & L this week. Sue will be sharing additional information with the staff on students who will be testing in alternative settings and make-up testing.
Bell Schedule
From analyzing the results of the staff voting from our last T & L, we are in favor of a block schedule (modified or A/B) During our T & L this coming week, I will be having the staff vote on the type of block they recommend. I will then take the results of this vote to our next Curriculum and Instruction meeting with the Board early next week and share their feedback with you later in the week.
